Join us the weekend of April 27-28 for a Spring Theology Conference with Dr. Alan Strange, Professor of Church History and Interim President at Mid-America Reformed Seminary. Dr. Strange will deliver several messages on how to engage in evangelism and apologetics in our day and age and on the doctrine of the spirituality of the church. Dr. Strange will deliver several messages on how to engage in evangelism and apologetics in our day and age and on the doctrine of the spirituality of the church. Our Speaker: Dr. Alan Strange

Dr. Alan Strange is professor of church history at Mid-America Reformed Seminary where he has taught church history, apologetics, church government and other subjects for 25 years. He recently was appointed as interim president for the seminary. Dr. Strange holds a B.A. from Centenary College, an M.A. from College of William and Mary, an M.Div. from Westminster Theological Seminary, and a Ph.D. from University of Wales.


Before teaching at Mid-America Reformed Seminary Dr. Strange served Providence Orthodox Presbyterian Church in Glassboro, New Jersey, for over nine years. He is currently an Associate Pastor at First OPC (South Holland, IL), frequently preaching there or speaking in other church and conference settings. He is an active churchman in the Orthodox Presbyterian Church, serving on numerous committees as mentioned on his faculty bio here


Dr. Strange has written and contributed to several books, including his most recent book, Empowered Witness: Politics, Culture, and the Spiritual Mission of the Church.

Saturday, April 27

  • 10:30-11:30AM: Session 1: "What's So Great About the Great Commission? The Hope We Have in Christ" (Matthew 28:18-20; 1 Peter 3:15; 1 Corinthians 2:1-5)
  • 11:30-1:00PM: Break for lunch (see restaurant locations below)
  • 1:00-2:00PM: Session 2: "How to Talk to Unbelievers" (1 Corinthians 2:6-16; Proverbs 26:4-5; Romans 9:21-24)
  • 2:00-2:30PM: Fellowship (refreshments provided)
  • 2:30-3:30PM: Session 3: "Divine Empowerment for the Church's Spiritual Mission: Not 'Mere Christendom' or 'Christian Nationalism'" (Philemon)
  • 3:30-4:00PM: Fellowship (refreshments provided)

Sunday, April 28

  • 9:30AM: Morning Sermon: "The Genius of the Reformation" (Psalm 15; Romans 3:21-31)
  • 3:00PM: Afternoon Sermon:  "The Heavenly King of a Heavenly Kingdom" (Psalm 45; John 18:28-38, text v. 36)
  • Note: There is no need to pay the registration fee if you wish to simply join us for our morning and/or afternoon worship services.

Registration & Cost

Please register by April 21 for our Spring Theology Conference using the form below.

Cost is $20 per adult (ages 18 and up), $10 per youth (ages 12-17). Children under 12 are free. 

(Note: There is no fee if you wish to simply join us for our morning and/or afternoon worship services.)


Payment can be made in advance via e-transfer to donations@redeemerchurch.ca or at the door via cash or cheque.
